First Lucky Winner of the myPOS Taxi Competition in Portugal

We are excited to announce the winner in the first stage of our exclusive taxi competition in Portugal.

Congratulations to Paulo Sergio Dias who made the highest number of card payments and won the cash prize of EUR 300.

Here’s what the lucky winner says about myPOS and how accepting card payments impacts his taxi business:

Our competition continues by the end of June, and all taxi drivers of ANTRAL can win our second prize, which is a luxurious spa weekend for two in Lisbon.

Who will win?

The driver who takes the biggest number of payments through his myPOS terminal.

The taxi competition is part of our partnership with the Portuguese Taxi Association, ANTRAL, which was launched in September 2017 and marked the beginning of the payment revolution in the taxi industry in the country.

More than 200 taxicabs in Portugal have been equipped with myPOS payment machines, enabling taxi drivers to accept every way customers want to pay, whether by card, via smartphone or even in-app via the ANTRAL’s mobile app for Android and iOS. The initiative with ANTRAL got a great media coverage and the support of the Portuguese government and the Minister of Environment Joao Pedro Matos Fernandes.
