myPOS now offers Tap to Pay on iPhone in 10 countries

After successfully launching Tap to Pay on iPhone in nine European markets, including Germany, Italy, and France, myPOS introduced the feature in Spain. Available within the myPOS Glass app, it allows merchants to accept all forms of contactless payments directly on their iPhone — including contactless credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets — with no additional hardware required.

Using Tap to Pay on iPhone is easy, secure, and private. At checkout, the merchant will simply prompt the customer to hold their contactless payment method near the merchant’s iPhone, and the payment will be securely completed using NFC technology. Tap to Pay on iPhone also supports PIN entry, which includes accessibility options.

Apple’s Tap to Pay on iPhone technology uses the built-in features of iPhone to keep the business and customer data private and secure. When a payment is processed, Apple doesn’t store card numbers or transaction information on the device or on Apple servers, so customers can rest assured that their data stays theirs*. 

myPOS merchants with iPhone XS or later can start accepting contactless payments with their iPhone via the myPOS Glass app. After downloading it from the Apple App Store and going through online verification, business owners can try out the myPOS Glass Starter plan with no upfront commitment, no fixed costs and the ability to cancel at any time.

*Encrypted card numbers are temporarily stored on iPhone only for transactions made in Store and Forward mode.
