myPOS Partners With PCI Security Standards Council To Help Secure Payment Data Worldwide
announcements / 25.03.2026—As Council’s Newest Associate Participating Organization, myPOS to Contribute to The Development of PCI Security Standards—
myPOS joined thePCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) as a new Associate Participating Organization. Through this collaboration, myPOS will contribute to the ongoing development and adoption of PCI Security Standards that help protect payment data worldwide.
The PCI SSC leads a global, cross-industry effort to increase payment security by providing flexible, industry-driven, and effective data security standards and programs. Global industry collaboration is critical to this mission.
For myPOS merchants, this matters because strong payment security is not just a compliance topic — it is a core part of trust, business continuity, and customer experience. As payment channels continue to expand across in-store, online, mobile, and remote journeys, merchants need confidence that the platforms they rely on are aligned with the highest industry standards for protecting sensitive payment data. In turn, their customers benefit from safer and more secure transactions, regardless of how they choose to pay.
“Joining the PCI Security Standards Council as an Associate Participating Organization is an important step for myPOS as we continue to strengthen the security foundations of our payment ecosystem”, said Abdenour Bezzouh, Chief Technology Officer at myPOS. “At myPOS, protecting merchants and their customers is central to everything we build. By contributing our expertise to the development of PCI Security Standards and collaborating with other industry leaders, we aim to support the evolution of stronger, more resilient payment security across physical POS, e-commerce, request-to-pay, and card issuing experiences.”
As an Associate Participating Organization, myPOS will contribute its perspective to the standards development process and collaborate with a growing community of payments and security leaders focused on improving payment security worldwide.
myPOS will also have the opportunity to recommend new initiatives for consideration to the PCI Security Standards Council and share cross-sector experiences and best practices at the annual PCI Community Meetings.
“In an era of increasingly sophisticated attacks on systems, PCI Security Standards and resources help organizations secure payment data and prevent, detect and mitigate attacks that can lead to costly data breaches,” said Gina Gobeyn, Executive Director of the PCI Security Standards Council. “By joining as an Associate Participating Organization, myPOS has the opportunity to play an active part in improving payment security globally by helping drive awareness and adoption of PCI Security Standards.”
