What is a QR code?

Simply put, a QR or Quick Response code is a two-dimensional sort of “barcode” that can be scanned to provide the user with additional information. Read from left to right and top to bottom, they store information as a series of pixels in a square-shaped grid and can be scanned easily by a digital device with a camera.

The QR code functionality is linked to the Payment Request functionality, which you can access with ease from your myPOS mobile app or via your account on myPOS’s website. 

To accept an in-person QR code payment, simply follow these three easy steps:

  1. Open your myPOS mobile app
  2. Tap on Payment Request, enter the amount, and choose QR payment
  3. Your customer scans the QR code to pay directly with their phone

The money is already in your myPOS account!

And if you’re using myPOS’s website then:

  1. Login in your account and click on Payment Requests
  2. Enter the requested amount and select QR payment
  3. You will get a QR code that your customer needs to scan

The funds are instantly settled in your account!
