Coca-Cola HBC Hungary, myPOS and IQOM Partner to Reshape B2B Payment Acceptance

myPOS is thrilled to announce a partnership with Coca-Cola HBC Hungary through which the bottling company’s distributors will start handling digital payments. The Hungarian distributor fleet has been equipped with 450 devices myPOS Carbon – the exceptionally durable and water-resistant smart POS, powered by Android 9.0.

myPOS Carbon takes advantage of the myPOS AppMarket where an exclusively developed app will help Coca-Cola HBC Hungary optimize its distributor operations. The app was created and integrated by IQOM Ltd. – the Hungarian distribution partner of myPOS. IQOM has also managed to train distributors in no time and dispense a few hundred myPOS Carbon devices through the company’s network.

“By using myPOS, the distributors of Coca-Cola HBC Hungary will be able to conveniently and quickly collect all funds upon delivery of the products to retail stores, without having to count and carry cash,” explained Zoltan Gyenge, myPOS Managing Director for DACH and Hungary.

“We are excited to become part of the world’s largest beverage distribution system and work not only with one of the most recognized brands in the world, but also with a partner that creates a more sustainable business and makes a difference in people’s communities,” Gyenge added.

Coca-Cola HBC Hungary currently has two plants and six distribution depots in the country. It employs 1100 people directly and provides jobs to about 13000 throughout its activities. The company is a member of the Swiss-based Coca-Cola HBC AG Group, which serves almost 715 million consumers and covers 29 countries.

Like Coca-Cola, myPOS strives to have a wide reach while keeping a local focus. The fintech company helps nano, micro and small businesses grow by offering affordable financial tools and instant settlement of funds. myPOS is still the only platform in Europe that lets merchants, who accept card payments through it, receive their money immediately, without having to pay more for that.

Furthermore, through the smart POS devices, all myPOS clients have the option to use apps – such as the one created by IQOM Ltd. – and find the right tool for their industry vertical. Currently, the myPOS App Market has more than 200 applications that support the daily activities of merchants from various industries, but that’s not all. myPOS offers a constantly growing set of additional business-management tools that are accessible not only through a computer, but also on any mobile phone or tablet.

Thanks to all of this, the distributors of Coca-Cola HBC Hungary will get payment from their retailers in seconds and become more efficient. “We strive to reshape the world of payments and to reduce complexity, and we are thrilled to do it with Europe’s most sustainable beverage company,” Gyenge added.

Sándor Horváth, Project Manager at Coca-Cola HBC Hungary, added: “We are proud to be the first within the Coca-Cola HBC Group to introduce in Hungary the cashless payment solution, which allows card and instant transfers. The trial of this innovative payment option has received clear positive feedback from our customers, so we expect that after the national roll-out, at least half of our cash customers will switch to the efficient and secure cashless payments within the next year”. Horváth was responsible for the introduction of cashless payment solutions at Coca-Cola HBC Hungary.
